Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. in Hamilton, ON is seeking an HSE Advisor to support field-level health, safety and environmental programs across construction projects.

You will conduct site inspections, assist with incident investigations, and help implement safe work practices to protect workers and the community. This role emphasizes proactive risk management, collaboration with project teams, and ongoing improvement of HSE processes in accordance with Ontario regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an HSE/Safety role within construction or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario OH&S legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Experience conducting inspections, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Experience delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, and worker competency programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections, workplace observations, and audits to identify hazards and verify compliance.
• Support the implementation of PSSPs, ERPs, SWPs, JSAs/JHAs, inspections, toolbox talks, and HSE documentation.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate corrective actions, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Provide practical HSE guidance to supervisors, forepersons, workers, and subcontractors on site hazards and controls.
