Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. (GIP) seeks an experienced HSE Advisor for field-based operations in the Sudbury region. You will conduct site risk assessments, observe real-time work, and identify hazards to ensure practical safety controls on construction sites.

The role demands on-site safety oversight, training delivery through toolbox talks, and coordination with field teams. Travel and flexibility for evenings/weekends may be required to support operations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Health and Safety or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Health and Safety experience in construction or industrial settings.
• CM IOSH Certification is required.
• CRSP/CRST or similar safety certifications are considered an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English (oral and verbal) considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site-specific risk assessments on construction and infrastructure sites.
• Observe real-time operations to identify hazards.
• Assess risks for high-risk tasks such as excavation, scaffolding, crane operations, trenching, paving, and confined spaces.
• Provide hazard mitigation recommendations and update control measures based on field conditions.
• Serve as the on-site primary health and safety representative and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and on-the-spot safety briefings and engage with field workers, contractors, and supervisors.
• Support emergency response efforts and integrate safety controls into daily workflows.
