Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Service Technician - Compressor Maintenance to service customer sites across Eastern Canada. You will diagnose and repair industrial compressor equipment, ensuring high-quality, safe operation and timely responses.

The role requires industrial repair certifications, 3–10 years of mechanical experience, ability to travel, and proficiency with MS Office, ERP, and Salesforce; you will work independently while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Certifying training in industrial machine repair or equivalent.
• 3–10 years of mechanical repair experience, preferably with rotating equipment.
• Mandatory WHMIS, forklift, and overhead crane certifications and a valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to use MS Office, ERP, and Salesforce.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, customer orientation, autonomy, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

Salary: $30 to $40 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose equipment at customer sites, ensuring superior quality service.
• Communicate effectively with coordinators, managers, and clients to assess needs, offer recommendations, and explain service options.
• Provide regular updates to clients and complete necessary documentation quickly and accurately.
• Identify future business opportunities and plan travel for maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Contribute to a positive and safe work environment, reporting any potentially harmful situations.

Qualifications

• A certifying training in industrial machine repair, industrial mechanics, heavy machinery, or automotive, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical repair, ideally with rotating equipment or in the automotive industry, including skills in troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Mandatory certifications in WHMIS, forklift, and overhead crane, as well as a valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, an ability to navigate various software systems (MS Office, ERP, CRM like Salesforce), and an aptitude for data entry and technical documentation.
• Developed interpersonal skills, a strong customer orientation, the ability to work autonomously, and adaptability to various working conditions.
