Job Responsibilities

The Property Manager will ensure properties are maintained and operated according to company objectives, and facilitate solutions to issues between communities and internal support staff, guided by policies. Responsibilities include:

  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards
  • Conduct business with the highest standards of conduct
  • Provide management and leadership to properties within the assigned region
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to develop and communicate goals
  • Ensure company and client goals are met
  • Manage teams across different properties maintaining standards of excellence
  • Oversee process improvement and quality control of management functions
  • Lead and assist in resolving issues
  • Establish positive relationships with the Board of Directors and internal departments
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements
  • Maintain harmonious employee/employer relations
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and train staff accordingly
Education & Experience
  • Hold a General License in good standing
  • RCM or recognized property management designation
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Condominium Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Experience in financial accounting, reporting, and budgeting
  • Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and building management is an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
  • Knowledge of Condominium Act and community operations
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of building mechanical operations preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Availability for emergency calls, after-hours service, and meetings
Travel

Travel to head office is required.
