Job summary

EllisDon in Canada seeks a Concrete & Formwork Superintendent to lead on-site activities across Special Projects, Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial sites. You will plan schedules, coordinate manpower, and ensure drawings and specifications are followed on site in Cold Lake, Alberta.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience in Special Projects, Institutional, Commercial, and/or Industrial.
• Experience with concrete and formwork scopes.
• Experience with self-performed work with a General Contractor is an asset.
• Ability to schedule, manage project management activities and contract software.

Responsibilities

• Manage work on site to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower, materials, inspections, equipment and requirements.
• Monitor work performance to ensure safety rules and procedures are followed.
• Resolve problems, schedule difficulties, and ensure on-time project delivery.
• Maintain and analyze cost reports and submit changes to keep the project within budget.
• Meet with Owners, Consultants and Architects and communicate concerns and interests of the company.

You as a Concrete & Formwork Superintendent will:

• Managing work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications
• Planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment and requirements are maintained
• Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
• Manage potential problems, work interference and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
• Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget
• Meet with Owners, Consultants and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
