Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Edmonton is seeking a field-oriented construction professional to assist the on-site Superintendent in delivering projects safely and to spec. The successful candidate will bring a construction degree or diploma, 1–5 years of experience, and knowledge of scheduling and contract software (Primavera, Procore, Bluebeam), plus OSHA awareness.

This full-time on-site role emphasizes collaboration with the Project Manager and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • You have a construction-related degree/diploma and 1-5 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Previous large scale heavy civil or industrial project experience is preferred
  • You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software such as Primavera, Procore, Bluebeam
  • Knowledge of basic OSHA standards

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing on-site work to ensure drawings and specs compliance
  • Support planning schedules, manpower, materials, inspections, equipment and requirements
  • Monitor work performance to ensure safety, procedures and project rules are followed
  • Advise the Superintendent and Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
  • Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports to keep the project within budget
  • Meet with stakeholders in a professional manner and communicate concerns and interests of the company

  • You have a construction-related degree/diploma and 1-5 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Previous large scale heavy civil or industrial project experience is preferred
  • You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software such as Primavera, Procore, Bluebeam
  • Knowledge of basic OSHA standards
  • Ability to correctly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions in a fast-paced team environment
