Job summary

Rocha's Construction Ltd. in Alberta is seeking a skilled concrete finisher to join our on-site team and contribute to durable, quality pavements and structures.

You will check formwork, place and finish concrete, apply curing components, and seal surfaces to achieve the required grade and finish. This role requires 2–3 years of concrete experience, physically demanding work, and a criminal record check; on-site work only.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of concrete finishing experience.
• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• Ability to read and follow technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
