Job summary

City Home Construction Inc in Canada is seeking a concrete finisher to work on-site. You will check formwork and reinforcement, place concrete, finish surfaces, and read blueprints to ensure specifications are met.

The role requires 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and English language ability. No degree is required; training on site will be provided. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position working at our physical location.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in concrete work.
• Language: English required for on-site communication.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
