Job summary

Melrose Paving - COR Certified! in Mississauga is seeking a concrete finisher to prep and finish outdoor and indoor concrete surfaces. You will level, smooth and cure concrete, install fixtures and use hand and power tools to meet grade and finish requirements.

Two to three years of concrete finishing experience and the ability to work on-site in a physically demanding role are essential. Join a safety-conscious team on various project sites in the region.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• 2–3 years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• On-site work at the job location is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
