Job summary

Multimatic Advanced Manufacturing Technologies is seeking a Composites Technician to learn and contribute to hands-on laminate work, carbon fiber layups, and assembly of high-performance components for motorsport programs.

You will be trained in autoclaves, curing processes, and quality-focused manufacturing, gaining exposure to advanced composite materials and tooling. Join a team dedicated to safety, continuous improvement, and delivering top-tier parts for world-class vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn to read drawings and follow detailed instructions.
  • Motivated, hands-on with problem-solving mindset.
  • Understanding of composite materials, resins, and ratios (or willingness to learn).
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform laminating and vacuum-bagging of carbon fiber and other composite materials.
  • Train in autoclaves and ovens to cure advanced thermoset systems.
  • Assemble and finish composite components, substructures, skins, and honeycomb cores.
  • Cut, trim, bond, and finish composite parts to precise specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints and ply schedules with guidance as needed.
  • Assist in creating master molds and patterns.
  • Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and safety.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and QA to meet timelines.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be hands-on from day one, learning and contributing to:

You’ll dive into hands-on work from day one, supported by in‑house training to help you build your skills and confidence. Your daily work will include:

  • Learning and performing laminating and vacuum-bagging of carbon fiber and other composite materials
  • Train in working with autoclaves and ovens to cure advanced thermoset systems
  • Get hands on experience in the building and assembly of composite components, substructures, skins, and honeycomb cores
  • Cutting, trimming, bonding, and finishing composite parts to precise specifications
  • Gain knowledge in how to Interpret blueprints, drawings, and ply schedules with guidance as needed
  • Grow your abilities in helping create master molds and patterns
  • Maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Collaborating closely with supervisors, leads, and QA to meet project timelines and quality expectations
  • Keeping your work area safe, clean, and organized
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen, GEAR and ISO-based processes

  • Comfortable use of tools: sanders, grinders, cutters, drills, gram scales, scissors, knives and other power tools.
  • Willingness to learn how to read drawings and follow detailed instructions
  • Motivated in problem-solving and hands‑on skills
  • Understanding of composite materials, resins, and ratios (or willingness to learn!)
  • Basic computer knowledge

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$17.60 - $25.48
