Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support the Compliance team by analyzing purchasing and operational data to identify compliance gaps and business opportunities. The role provides data-driven insights, supports compliance initiatives, and assists with coordinating follow-up actions across stakeholders.

A practical understanding of food products and foodservice operations is important to ensure recommendations are relevant and actionable. What’s in it for you?

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Finance, Food Service, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Food Service, and/or Data Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and generate practical recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to structure information clearly in emails, reports, and presentations.
  • Comfortable coordinating meetings and following up with multiple stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of food products and foodservice operations is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while following structured processes and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze purchasing and operational data to identify trends, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct recurring and ad hoc analyses to support compliance initiatives and business needs.
  • Quantify financial and operational impacts of identified opportunities and provide supporting analysis.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for internal reviews and stakeholder discussions.
  • Support coordination of follow-up actions by communicating with internal teams and external partners as required, including scheduling meetings and tracking outcomes.
  • Assist in facilitating discussions by organizing information, preparing materials, and documenting decisions and action items.
  • Maintain and update dashboards, trackers, and supporting data tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support operational processes related to product and item changes to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Provide analytical support for special projects and other departmental priorities as needed.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, & discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation & comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.
