Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Toronto is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a temporary part-time assignment of 2 months, with potential extension. The role focuses on providing compassionate, resident-centred care, assisting with daily activities, personal hygiene, and safety while supporting emotional and social needs for seniors from diverse communities.

Required PSW certification in Ontario or equivalent, CPR, and a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

Graduate PSW course in Ontario or equivalent.
Experience in long-term care is an asset.
Current CPR certificate.
Registration with HSCPOA preferred.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Computer literacy including Point Click Care and MS Office; Workday a plus.
Chinese language ability is an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to assist clients with daily activities and hygiene.
Support clients' physical, social, and emotional needs in a safe, resident-centred manner.
Adhere to government standards, residents' rights, and organizational policies.
Document care and coordinate with team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Report changes in client condition and participate in shift handovers.
