Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is seeking a Personal Support Worker (Mixed Shift) for a temporary part-time assignment at the Scarborough Finch location. The PSW will provide personal care to support residents’ daily activities, maintaining a resident-centred approach and upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include a PSW course in Ontario (or equivalent), CPR certification, and registration with the HSCPOA preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent.
• Experience in long term care setting is an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate; Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to assist clients in daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Support residents' physical, social and emotional needs.
• Maintain resident-centred approach in accordance with government standards and organization policies.
• Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving and time management in a team setting.
