Job summary

Yee Hong is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Ontario to provide personal care and support daily activities for residents in a compassionate, resident-centred manner. The role requires a PSW course graduate, CPR certificate, and strong interpersonal skills; duties include assisting with mobility, hygiene, and emotional needs, while following organizational standards and government regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario or equivalent.
• Experience in long term care setting is an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
• Resident-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and time manage.
• Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player.
• Behavioural management training (GPA, U-First, CPI) an asset.
• Computer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office). Basic knowledge of Workday an asset.
• Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to assist clients in daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Support clients' physical, social and emotional needs in a safe, resident-centred approach.
• Adhere to organization's mission, residents' rights and government standards.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and safety guidelines.
• May require night, weekend, and short shifts as scheduled.
