Job summary

Optima Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team across Western Canada. You will collaborate with the Director of Care and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a compassionate environment.

You will administer medications, support care plans, document accurately, and assist with admissions, mobility, and end-of-life care while maintaining dignity and respect for residents. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains a current license to practice (provincial regulatory body).
• Experience in residential care or mental health is an asset.
• Active CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of resident care plans under supervision.
• Administers medications and provides direct nursing care.
• Maintains accurate resident records and health documentation.
• Supports move-ins/outs and end-of-life care with dignity.
• Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team, residents and families.
• Assists physicians with examinations and tests when requested.
