Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare in Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Personal Caregiver to deliver home care and support to clients in their own homes. You will work to enhance comfort, safety, and independence, following individualized care plans.

The role requires formal caregiver training, strong English communication, physical ability to assist with daily living, and reliable transportation. Bayshore offers competitive compensation, flexible hours, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program or equivalent experience.
• Strong caregiving knowledge and customer service skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide homemaking services including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management.
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
• Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives.
• Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to a high standard.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living as needed.
• Observe and document client conditions and report changes to the Supervisor.
• Implement infection prevention practices.
