Qualifications

• Clear Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Administer personal care services per care plan.
• Ensure the emotional, spiritual and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs.
• Observe and document client conditions and report any changes to the Supervisor or Office.
• Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to clients, while ensuring their comfort, safety and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
• Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives
• Ensure the emotional, spiritual and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs
• Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
• Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
• Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices

Requirements

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving and customer service
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency is an asset
• Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
• Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs, squat, bend, stand and reach
• Reliable transportation; driver's license and automobile are assets
• Ability to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
