Job summary

Alberta Health Services, Elk Point Community Health, Elk Point, AB, is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) on a Casual/Relief basis. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing personal assistance and daily living support to patients, and assisting with routine care under a patient care plan.

Applicants must be eligible for CLHA registration or have an HCA certificate within 18 months, hold current BLS, and be able to meet the physical demands of the role.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with the CLHA as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and support activities of daily living to patients.
• Assist nurses with routine care to meet hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
• Support communication with patients, families and health care professionals.
