Job summary

Bethany Care Society in Didsbury, Alberta is seeking a Health Care Aide (Casual) to provide compassionate support to residents, families and the care team. You will assist with activities of daily living, promote independence, and respect resident dignity.

The role requires Grade 10 education, Alberta Health Care Aide certificate, CLHA registration, and strong communication in English. Prior experience is preferred but not required; training and background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
• Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in physically and mentally demanding environment.
• Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident-centered care and responds to residents' needs per care plans.
• Accurately documents care and observations in the health care record.
• Contributes to a safe environment by following safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates Bethany's vision and mission as a pro-active learner.
• Works cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team.
