Job summary

Park Place Seniors Living seeks a Health Care Aide to provide direct personal care under supervision at Devonshire Care Centre in Canada. You will support residents with mobility, meals, hygiene, and daily activities, while observing changes in health status and reporting them to the care team.

Graduates of approved HCA/PSW programs with a current criminal records check will be prioritized. Strong English communication and a compassionate approach to elder care are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker course or equivalent, as recognized by Alberta Health Services.
• Willingness to complete a specialty course for units like Alzheimer’s (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal and nursing care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with restorative care, ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition.
• Follow care plans and guidelines to ensure consistent, quality care.
• Assist with meals and hydration; document appetite and hydration as needed.
• Maintain records reflecting residents’ condition, care, and treatments.
