AgeCare Sagewood in Strathmore, Alberta is hiring a Health Care Aide (HCA) for a temporary part-time role. You will work as part of the care team under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide safe, compassionate basic resident care.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, transfers, meals, routine treatments, mobility support, and accompanying residents to activities. English fluency and a PCA/HCA certificate are required, with CLHA registration preferred.

Qualifikationen

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment is preferred.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
• Completion of a recognized PCA/HCA 2002 or greater certificate.
• Active registration with CLHA is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Bath, shower, and wash residents as per care plan and water temperature controls.
• Assist with transfers using ceiling/mechanical lifts and transfer belts.
• Feed and assist residents during meals per dietary plans.
• Provide routine treatments and care under supervision of the Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents for mobility and transportation within the facility.
• Support residents to and from dining, beauty parlor, physio, and recreation.
• Accompany residents to social/therapy activities; maintain safety with transfer belts.
