Job summary

Bloom Limited Partnership in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our care team part-time. You will support residents under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, providing safe basic care and services.

Requirements include at least one year in continuing care, English fluency, and a PCA/HCA certificate with CLHA registration. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a supportive, community-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
• Completion of a recognized Personal Care Aide (PCA/HCA 2002 or greater) Certificate Course or Equivalent Education Certificate.
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP and water procedures.
• Assist with resident transfers using appropriate equipment and PPE.
• Feed/assist with feeding during meals per care plan.
• Provide routine treatments and care under supervision of Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents to travel about the facility and to dining areas.
• Support residents to participate in social and therapy activities.
• Accompany residents to outside services within the facility.
