Optima Living is seeking a dedicated Health Care Aide to support residents in daily living activities and care plans. You will assist with mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and comfort, while coordinating with nursing staff to ensure safety and dignity for each resident.

The role emphasizes compassionate, team-based care in a residential setting, with adherence to infection control and privacy standards, and mandatory certifications and orientation upon hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
• Active registration with CLHA (Alberta).
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Experience in residential care is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Supports the care team in providing care and services to meet residents' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Assists with move ins/outs, palliative care, end of life and care after death with dignity.
• Supports development of resident personal care or service plans.
• Performs resident care, documents observations and interventions accurately, reports changes to the Director of Care.
• Responds promptly to call bells and resident requests.
• Assists with medication administration per care/service plan and policies.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Collaborates with Recreation Manager to support social and recreational activities.
