Job summary

Carewest is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team across Calgary locations. This role supports client care, observes status, and communicates changes to the nursing team while following our care framework.

We offer Regular & Temporary Full/Part-Time and Casual shifts with a pay range aligned to local standards. Applicants should have an Alberta Health Care Aide program and be registered in the Alberta HCA Directory, with strong English communication and physical capability for patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English is required.
• Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring and repositioning of clients.
• Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory required.
• Related experience in a health care facility is an asset.
• Program specific training/experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing client care under supervision and reports status.
• Delivers prescribed medications accurately per policy and procedure.
• Observes changes in client status and notifies RN or LPN as needed.
• Maintains professional and ethical standards per Carewest policies.
