Job summary

Cogir Senior Living operates retirement residences across Canada and is hiring a Server for its bright dining room. We believe mealtime is about friends and family and meaningful conversation, not just food.

Key duties include serving residents, clearing tables, tray delivery, and maintaining dining area cleanliness. Preference is given to those with senior-care food service experience and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in food service or with seniors.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift/heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Second language proficiency is an asset.
• Current VPS screening within 6 months or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning dishware and maintaining dining area cleanliness.
• Support kitchen and dining area upkeep and catering activities.
• Help orient and train new culinary staff and participate in events.
• Follow health and safety procedures and department policies.
