Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Windsor, Ontario is hiring a Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room. You will join a team that supports with the set-up of the dining room and all aspects of serving and clean up associated with dining services within our retirement residence.

Preference given to those with food service experience with seniors and strong customer service. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassion in a retirement living environment.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long shifts.
• Proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery at the end of service.
• To assist with maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• To assist with catering and participate in special occasions and events.
• To assist in orientation and training of new culinary staff.
• To follow health and safety procedures and regulations.
• To comply with department policies and resident rights.
