Job summary

Brightwater Senior Living in Woodstock, Ontario, is seeking a friendly dining server to provide exceptional service to residents, guests and coworkers. You will serve meals, greet residents, take orders, operate the POS, and balance at the end of each shift, while upholding Brightwater standards and confidentiality.

This role supports lunch and dinner service and may involve light housekeeping duties; previous hospitality experience is helpful, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Ability to remain calm with upset guests.
• Experience with POS systems and handling transactions.
• Follows state/provincial regulations for certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assure menu holders are clean, correct menu is in menu holders, and placed on table.
• Assist with bussing tables after first course served and at end of meal.
• Clean and sanitize tables and chairs.
• Serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals, and desserts.
• Greet residents and take orders, deliver to kitchen with accuracy.
• Deliver orders to kitchen and ensure adaptive equipment is available when needed.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned.
• Adhere to community policies, dress/appearance code, and promote excellent customer service.
• Represent the community in a professional, courteous manner.
