Job summary

The Salvation Army Meighen Health Centre in Saskatchewan is seeking a Dietary Aide to support food service operations for residents, staff and guests. You will ensure safe storage, handling, production and distribution of meals under supervision of the Food Services Manager and Supervisor.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety, assisting with meal service, and supporting quality improvement initiatives while upholding the centre’s values and policies.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Completion of the Food Service Worker and Food Handler programs.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
• Ability to work with others effectively.
• Operates kitchen equipment; familiarity with scheduling/records is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; leadership familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed and food safety is maintained.
• Direct serving of meals in units and prepare servery/dining areas.
• Rotate and store supplies, monitor temperatures, and assist with meal preparation and catering.
