Job summary

Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board in Ontario is seeking a Casual Child and Youth Worker (CYW) to support students with academic, social, physical and emotional needs across Peterborough, Northumberland and Clarington regions. The role requires availability for at least three days per week and offers $29.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma or undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Work or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• CIT/NVCI certification and a police check with Vulnerable Sector Search within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in academic, social, physical, emotional and behavioural programs.
• Carry out personal care duties to meet students' physical needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of student plans and safety measures.
• Transfer and lift students using safe techniques and devices.
• Support with medications and health-related tasks per RHPA as trained.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor progress and maintain confidentiality.
