Job summary

Lander Treatment Centre in Claresholm, AB, Canada, is hiring a Client Care Assistant to support clients under nurse supervision. You will help keep a safe, therapeutic environment and assist with daily living activities, activities, and program delivery.

A compassionate, communicative, and adaptable team player is expected. The role involves collaboration with health professionals within a multidisciplinary team and requires BCLS-HCP, a Grade 12 equivalent, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• A valid Class V driver's license. Standard First Aid.
• Frequent standing and walking, lifting, pulling/pushing, kneeling, crouching, reaching.
• Experience with addiction and mental health concerns preferred.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to clients and maintain a safe, secure facility.
• Respond to client requests and communicate effectively with staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and program activities.
• Observe, report and help maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Answer phones and assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed.
