Job summary

Recovery Alberta's Northern Addictions Centre is seeking a Client Care Assistant to join the Detox Unit. You will provide basic and supportive care to clients, assist with detox client assessment, care planning and care delivery in a safe, therapeutic environment.

As part of an interprofessional team, you will help residents participate in everyday living, activities, and education, respond to client requests, and support transport and facility safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12.
• Current BCLS-HCP certification.
• Two years Addiction and Mental Health experience.
• Alberta Class 5 driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to detox clients in a safe, secure facility.
• Assist with detox client assessment, care planning and care delivery.
• Support residents in activities of daily living, recreation, and education.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to promote client wellbeing.
• Transport clients using the center vehicle and ensure safety.
