Job summary

Onsite Sign Group is seeking a Company Runner / Class 5 Truck Driver to move finished signs and materials regionally across Alberta and Saskatchewan. The role involves owning the truck, securing loads, and delivering between Onsite locations and approved sites.

We offer a full-time, year-round schedule, with home every night, health and dental benefits after probation, and an internal path to advancement. Company truck and equipment are provided for regional routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating a one-ton truck and regional freight.
• Strong knowledge of load securement and cargo protection.
• Experience towing and backing trailers.
• Confident, safe highway driver in all prairie seasons.
• Smartphone/tablet skills for delivery tracking and communication.
• Physically able to load, move and secure materials.
• Professional, dependable, safety-focused and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company one-ton truck for scheduled regional deliveries and pickups.
• Deliver freight between Onsite locations and approved suppliers or customer sites as assigned.
• Tow bumper-pull or fifth-wheel trailers when required and qualified.
• Inspect freight before loading and verify packaging suitability for transport.
• Load, strap, block, protect, and secure signs, crates, sheet material, and fabricated components.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report vehicle or trailer concerns promptly.
• Maintain delivery paperwork, load records, receipts, and communications with shipping team.
• Keep truck, trailer, straps, blankets, and securement equipment clean and ready.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, loading, yard organization, and material handling when not on road.
• Work safely through varying weather and route conditions; occasional early starts, late returns, or overnight travel may be required.

Job description

Onsite Sign Group has been designing and building landmarks across Western Canada since 1993. From a two-person garage operation to a 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, we now employ over 60 people across 7 cities in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our Lloydminster facility is the manufacturing heart of the company — every custom project moves through design, CNC, fabrication, paint, assembly, and shipping before it is installed across the Prairies.

We are hiring a Company Runner / Class 5 Truck Driver to move finished signs, fabricated products, materials, and supplies between our locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is regional company freight in a one-ton truck — not parcel courier work. Loads are often large, custom, and one of a kind; they must be protected, secured, and delivered professionally.

This is not a drop-the-keys job. The right person takes ownership of their truck, their loads, and their schedule — because when the runner is reliable, seven branches run on time. When you are not on the road, you will support shipping and receiving, so there is no dead time.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean, current driver's abstract.
• Experience operating a one-ton truck and transporting regional freight.
• Strong knowledge of load securement and cargo protection.
• Experience towing and backing trailers.
• Confident, safe highway driver in all four seasons of prairie weather.
• Strong smartphone/tablet skills — delivery tracking, photos, and communication are digital.
• Physically able to load, move, and secure materials.
• Professional, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently.

Experience That Is an Asset

• Bumper-pull and fifth-wheel experience.
• Shipping/receiving, skid-steer, telehandler, hotshot, or LTL freight experience.
