Job summary

Onsite Sign Group in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, is seeking a Company Runner / Class 5 Truck Driver to move finished signs and materials regionally between Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is a one-ton truck role with regular routes and a schedule you own.

You will perform deliveries, load secure freight, complete pre-trip inspections, and support shipping when not on the road. The position offers steady hours, home most nights, and on-site training with room to advance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract.
• Experience operating a one-ton truck for regional freight.
• Strong load securement and cargo protection knowledge.
• Experience towing and backing trailers advantageous.
• Professional, safe, independent driver with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company one-ton truck for regional deliveries and pickups.
• Deliver freight between Onsite locations and approved sites.
• Load, strap, and secure signs and crates for transport.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and communicate with shipping team.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and yard organization when not on the road.
• Work safely in varying weather and route conditions; some overnight travel may occur.

Job description

Onsite Sign Group has been designing and building landmarks across Western Canada since 1993. From a two-person garage operation to a 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, we now employ over 60 people across 7 cities in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our Lloydminster facility is the manufacturing heart of the company - every custom project moves through design, CNC, fabrication, paint, assembly, and shipping before it is installed across the Prairies.

We are hiring a Company Runner / Class 5 Truck Driver to move finished signs, fabricated products, materials, and supplies between our locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is regional company freight in a one-ton truck - not parcel courier work. Loads are often large, custom, and one of a kind; they must be protected, secured, and delivered professionally.

This is not a drop-the-keys job. The right person takes ownership of their truck, their loads, and their schedule - because when the runner is reliable, seven branches run on time. When you are not on the road, you will support shipping and receiving, so there is no dead time.

What You\'ll Do

• Operate a company one-ton truck for scheduled regional deliveries and pickups.
• Deliver freight between Onsite locations and approved suppliers or customer sites as assigned.
• Tow bumper-pull or fifth-wheel trailers when required and qualified.
• Inspect freight before loading and confirm that packaging is suitable for transport.
• Load, strap, block, protect, and secure signs, crates, sheet material, and fabricated components.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report vehicle or trailer concerns promptly.
• Maintain delivery paperwork, load records, receipts, and communication with the shipping team.
• Keep the truck, trailer, straps, blankets, and securement equipment clean and ready.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, loading, yard organization, and material handling when not on the road.
• Work safely through changing weather and route conditions; occasional early starts, late returns, or overnight travel may be required.

What We\'re Looking For

• Valid Class 5\'s driver\'s licence with a clean, current driver\'s abstract.
• Experience operating a one-ton truck and transporting regional freight.
• Strong knowledge of load securement and cargo protection.
• Experience towing and backing trailers.
• Confident, safe highway driver in all four seasons of prairie weather.
• Strong smartphone/tablet skills - delivery tracking, photos, and communication are digital.
• Physically able to load, move, and secure materials.
• Professional, dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently.

Experience That Is an Asset

• Bumper-pull and fifth-wheel experience.
• Shipping/receiving, skid-steer, telehandler, hotshot, or LTL freight experience.
