Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year diploma or two years in a specialized post-secondary program in recreation, social services, or a related field.
• Experience delivering community recreation programs for all ages.
• Experience in staff and volunteer management.
• Budget development, analysis and grant experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and risk management focus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans and implements recreation programs for courses and drop-in activities.
• Oversees programming and recruits, trains instructors and volunteers.
• Collaborates with staff and community groups to deliver programming.
• Maintains records, reports and budget monitoring.
• Responds to participant feedback and manages risk.
• Liaises with community groups and supports scheduling across facilities.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
