Job summary

Union Gospel Mission is seeking a Resource Navigator at the Hastings location to serve the Downtown Eastside community. The role is part-time and front-facing, focusing on building relationships, assessing needs, and connecting individuals to housing, shelter, stabilization, and recovery supports.

The position runs Monday to Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m, with a starting hourly wage of $26.26–$28.70. It involves crisis-related work and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related work experience is required.
• Related post‑secondary education preferred.
• Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database applications is an asset.
• Ability to set boundaries with demanding individuals and work with people in crisis.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to community members to access UGM services (referrals, appointments, warm handoffs).
• Coordinate appointments and referrals to internal and external services.
• Maintain accurate records in ShareVision and protect confidentiality.
• Liaise with other UGM departments and service agencies in the area.
• Help plan resource clinics and activities under supervision.
• Maintain the centre and office space in a clean, presentable condition.
