Qualifications

In anticipation of opening in Fall 2025, we are searching for a full-time Community Manager to join our new Opal Ridge Enhanced Care team based in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

  • Directs and promotes a client-directed philosophy by placing clients first
  • Provides clinical leadership and oversight of the electronic client documentation system
  • Builds trusted partnerships through effective communication with clients and families to support quality care
  • Ensures organizational standards, goals, objectives, and policies promote optimal care and seeks quality improvements
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation processes
  • Establishes an organizational structure that ensures effective communication, responsibility, and accountability
  • Supports initial assessments for potential admissions in consultation with licensed staff
  • Provides consultation on client issues and standards of care to nursing and interdisciplinary teams
  • Promotes relationships with external resources to meet community needs
  • Assumes duties of registered staff as required
  • Manages human resources activities and develops policies for safe, efficient operations
  • Leads the team in corrective actions and assesses their effectiveness

About You

  • Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia as an LPN or RN
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, including two years clinical and two years administrative experience or equivalent
  • A desire to work in a progressive environment embracing change
  • A positive approach to new initiatives and improvements
  • Knowledge of supervision, organization, and administration principles
  • Knowledge of current healthcare literature and research
  • Knowledge of operational and personnel regulations, collective bargaining, and long-term care policies
