ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE : Muslim Food Bank and Community Services (MFBCS) is a non-profit registered charity. The mission of its ASPIRE Program is to empower its clients through case management, mental health support, and seniors programming.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
The ASPIRE Community Services Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of all ASPIRE and MENTAL HEALTH programs. This includes developing and implementing new initiatives.
- Community Caseworker & Mental Health Programs: Managing the Community Caseworker & Mental Health programs, including overseeing all related staff (social workers, mental health professionals, caseworkers, and administration staff), nationally.
- Implementing and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all operational areas.
- Outreach and managing relationships with community partners.
- Recruitment, orientation, and onboarding of new staff.
- Operations Management: Monitor and evaluate staff performance, skills, and abilities; provide feedback, coaching, and improvement recommendations.
- Ensure the execution of all caseworker training and other ASPIRE workshops, including scheduling, administration, and facilitation.
- Promote, recruit, interview, and select a diverse pool of volunteers for training programs.
- Ensure service quality and perform other management duties as required.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Post-secondary education (degree) in Management or related fields like Social Sciences, Social Work, Counselling, or Administration.
- At least 3 years of management and leadership experience.
- Broad understanding of management issues related to mental health.
- Experience or working knowledge of case management.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Deep knowledge of Muslim religious culture, respecting diverse nationalistic cultural practices & languages.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in program management and service delivery.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of cultural sensitivity in social services.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector is an advantage.
- A combination of training, education, and experience may be considered.

- This is an in-person position based in Surrey.
- Clean Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector).
