Job summary

Trellis is seeking a Community Manager to build and strengthen Trellis’ presence and relationships within the community, ensuring services respond to the needs of children, youth, families, and communities we serve.

The role requires experienced people leadership, developing partnerships, and turning community needs into actionable opportunities for impact. Reporting to a Program Director, you will drive program operations, staff development, and collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a supervisory/management role with direct work with children, youth, families, and the community.
• Experience supervising, supporting, and directing staff and volunteers.
• Proven history with providing cultural programming with positive outcomes.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily program operations and ensure services are safe, consistent and responsive to community needs.
• Set priorities for the team and hold staff accountable for quality work.
• Track program results and address performance gaps.
• Apply racial equity and reconciliation principles to program decisions.
• Strengthen partnerships with community agencies and improve how services are coordinated.
• Use feedback from participants and staff to improve programs.
