Job summary

The City of Saskatoon seeks a Community Engagement Consultant II to lead and direct engagement initiatives that support the city’s strategic goals. You will direct engagement processes, coordinate across civic departments, and ensure consistent practice in engagement frameworks.

Role requires evaluating data, reporting on outcomes, and collaborating with communications teams to maximize public participation. On-call availability and a strong understanding of public consultation are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in human/social sciences or related field; public policy or community development is an asset.
• Experience in community engagement, project management and strategic communications.
• Eligible for IAP2 membership or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees community engagement processes and plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Supports policy/framework development and ensures consistency across the organization.
• Provides collaborative consultation with stakeholders to resolve engagement issues.
• Manages engagement tools and practices across the organization.
• Communicates with stakeholders and assists in reports from data analysis.
• Monitors trends in engagement tools and recommends strategies.
• Coordinates public engagement activities and moderates corporate online messaging.
• Assists with budget and tendering processes.
• Collaborates with communications and marketing to boost participation.
