Job summary

Family Service Saskatoon Inc. is seeking a Community Connector to strengthen relationships between individuals, families, and support services across Saskatoon. This role emphasizes building trust, fostering inclusion, and helping people navigate resources to improve well-being.

The position requires a University Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience in community outreach or related fields. It is a temporary full-time role with the potential for extension, and includes evening/weekend

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
Experience in community outreach or social services.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Saskatoon's community; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, and community groups.
Participate in outreach activities, events, and initiatives across Saskatoon.
Identify gaps in service and advocate for community needs.
Help community members access mental health, family support, housing, and employment services.
Maintain relationships with stakeholders to support project goals.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Share information about programs through outreach, social media, and networks.
Develop and distribute promotional materials.
Maintain records of outreach activities and community interactions.
Work independently and as a team.
Perform work outside of regular hours, including evenings and/or weekends.
Perform other duties as needed.
