Role Overview

Come work as a Community Dietitian with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Dietitian to join the Health Services for Community Living team at G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities

1. Work collaboratively with clients and families to establish safe, realistic goals, and coordinate interprofessional dietetic services.
2. Assess service eligibility, develop and implement care plans, deliver direct care, and support clients and caregivers in managing their care within the community setting.
3. Collaborate with system partners and incorporate current evidence into practice.

About HSCL

Health Services for Community Living (HSCL) supports adults with developmental disabilities across Vancouver, providing care planning in community settings, facilitating referrals, and empowering clients and families.

Qualifications

• Current full registration as a Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• Two years recent related experience or equivalent training, education, and experience.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and ability to travel locally.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of clinical dietetic theory, practice, and standards.
• Understanding of enteral nutrition, dysphagia management, and community resources.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and teaching skills.
• Ability to adapt to unexpected events and manage psychosocial issues.
