Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Community and Indigenous Engagement Lead to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team.
This is a full-time position based out of Foran’s Saskatoon office, with frequent travel to the McIlvenna Bay Operation (MBO) site and local communities, or available as a remote work-from-home role within Saskatchewan, requiring frequent travel to Saskatoon, the MBO site, and local communities.
The McIlvenna Bay Cu-Zn-Au-Ag deposit is one of the largest undeveloped VHMS deposits in Canada. Foran recently announced (2024) approval by the Board of Directors for the project to proceed to the formal construction phase with initial production expected in Q4 2025. The McIlvenna Bay deposit’s core commodities are critical for the global transition to green energy and Foran aims to extract these critical minerals in a sustainable manner by empowering local communities, contributing to circular economies and protecting the environment for future generations.
The Community and Indigenous Engagement Lead is responsible for leading and undertaking engagement activities with the local communities and Indigenous peoples in support of McIlvenna Bay Operating Ltd. (MBO). This position will provide advice, guidance and leadership to Foran on the development and implementation of policies and procedures to advance reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and will lead Foran’s community investment program.
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $95,000 - $115,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
