The Senior Project Geologist plays a key role in advancing exploration programs through target generation, hands‑on technical management of drilling and surface field programs, and assisting in research and innovation initiatives. This position will play a crucial role in our exploration operations by contributing to the understanding of structural geology, deposit models and mineral systems application in our deposit areas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate multi‑disciplinary geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify, rank, and prioritize target areas incorporating a mineral systems approach.
  • Conduct regional to deposit scale geological studies to refine exploration models and expand the project pipeline.
  • Utilize spatial data, structural geology models, and 3D geological modeling tools to design and refine exploration targets.
Support Field and drilling programs
  • During the field season, assist the project team with program oversight and execution, core logging and field program execution as required
  • Assist with sample shipping, tracking, and overall management for drilling programs following prescribed QA/QC programs.
  • Participate in data collection, integration, interpretations and reporting.
  • Monitor drilling activities to ensure compliance with program as designed, including drill rig site inspections and drill hole deviation monitoring, spotting drill holes, checking rig alignment or performing downhole gyro surveys.
  • Prepare program reports, maps, and other documents as required to document programs with the Sr. Geologist or Technical Lead.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior team members.
Research and Innovation
  • Lead or assist with technical initiatives such as core scanning trials, structural re‑interpretation, lithogeochemical studies, geochronology studies, legacy dataset re‑interpretation, and re‑logging and interpretation of historic core.
