The City of Mississauga is seeking a Communications Advisor to support official City events, programs and business area communications, reporting to the Supervisor, Employee Communications and Events. The role focuses on proactive storytelling and developing opportunities to promote City initiatives.
You will build strong relationships with internal teams, craft compelling materials for multiple channels, and help promote City programs and achievements through media, websites and social media.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Employee Communications and Events, the successful candidate will provide communications-related support to City clients/departments with a specific emphasis on supporting official City events, programs and business area communications.
In keeping with the City’s Strategic Plan and key business priorities, the successful candidate will build effective relationships with the City’s internal teams and pro-actively seek opportunities to promote and identify communications opportunities, and develop creative and innovative approaches to storytelling that help showcase City programs, services, projects and achievements.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $44.27 - $59.03
Hours of Work: 35
Work Location: Civic Centre
Hybrid Workplace (Due to the nature of the work, in-office days would be determined by the supervisor based on operational needs)
