Position Overview

Performs the duties of a receptionist, releasing accurate and timely residents'/patients' information to the public and directing the flow of visitors and residents'/patients' to the units.

Experience
  • Six (6) months recent experience operating a computerized switchboard console.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12 diploma.
  • CPR training in accordance with Employer policy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Knowledge of English language consistent with job demands.
  • Familiarity with voicemail and microcomputer software.
  • Alignment with Centre’s core values, philosophy, vision, CQI goals, policies, and procedures. Second language is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical health to meet job requirements.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. Checks are considered current if obtained within six (6) months prior to employment start date.

Note: Employees may not hold multiple positions across WRHA entities that total more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA includes multiple hospitals and services.
