Revenue Operations drives growth by supporting our revenue-generating and revenue-retaining teams. We work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Channel, Customer Enablement, and Customer Support to provide insights, improve efficiency, and enable GTM teams to be innovative and self-sufficient.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a Commissions Specialist for our Revenue Operations team. This role can be performed from our Vancouver office, remotely, or a combination of both.
We want someone interested in executing commissions for GTM teams, defining compensation policies, and implementing systems and tools to automate commissions.
As a Commission Specialist, you’ll be part of a team that values excellence, initiative, and problem-solving. Your work will impact key strategic decisions shaping Clio’s growth. You’ll work with talented, high-performing individuals experienced in SaaS, collaborating with leadership in Revenue Operations, Sales, and Finance to drive our GTM strategy.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Manage commissions process, compensation policies, and SPIFF execution and modeling.
- Respond promptly to sales management regarding sales compensation policies and procedures to maintain positive partnerships.
- Conduct monthly meetings with GTM partners to discuss system needs, share training and policy information, and improve commission processes.
- Audit and report commissions using multiple databases to ensure accurate and timely payments; assist in maintaining internal controls.
- Investigate and communicate statistical and commission concerns to RevOps leadership and sales management to align incentives with Clio’s GTM strategy.
- Create and maintain documentation of departmental procedures for consistency in calculations and financial processes.
- Ensure data accuracy for commission and sales incentive calculations, providing timely data to payroll.
- Generate sales reports on turnover, recognition, national programs, referral programs, and awards.
- Ensure data reliability for commission payments and SPIFFs.
- Oversee end-to-end commission processing, customization, and data/technology integrations.
- Identify reporting needs and define system and process requirements related to commissions and plans.
- Experience with compensation solutions like CaptivateIQ, Spiff, or Everstage is a plus.
- Have a general understanding of finance or operational systems such as Salesforce, Netsuite, and Workday.
- Synthesize GTM data and create presentations with data storytelling for diverse audiences.

- Experience connecting data sources and building dashboards (CRMA, Looker, Google Sheets).
- Knowledge of statistical modeling (e.g., regression analysis).
- Querying experience (SQL, SAQL, SOQL) or programming skills is a plus.
