Job summary

Guardian Capital Group in Toronto seeks an Asset Coordinator to oversee operations of GCREF and GC Opp Fund commercial real estate assets. You will work with the Director, Asset Management, property managers, leasing teams and third parties to maximize efficiency and ensure high standards of maintenance and performance.

Responsibilities include monitoring strategic asset management plans, preparing budgets, tracking rents and cash flows, and supporting quarterly reporting.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business.
• Basic understanding of commercial real estate/ finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and executing on the annual strategic asset management plans and reporting them to the Director, Asset Management quarterly.
• Working with third party property managers to prepare annual leasing, operating and capital budgets for review by the Director, Asset Management.
• Monitoring the assets and property managers by regular meetings, reviewing monthly reports, ensuring efficient rent collection and reviewing leasing activity, major expenses and capital programs.
• Establishing a regular review process with the property managers for major capital upgrades and any other special projects.
• Executing on leasing strategies and communicating expectations to leasing agents and property managers.
• Conducting on-site reviews of the assets, including tenant visitations, on a regular basis, and at least semi-annually.
• Reporting as required to the rest of the Team, summarizing significant activity.
• Reviewing the rents, monthly property management reports and ensuring timely delivery of the information to the Director, Asset Management.
• Reviewing tenant financial statements and property cash flows as required; providing input to the quarterly reports.
