Job summary

Peoples Group is seeking a Commercial Mortgage Renewal Analyst to lead end-to-end renewal management for CMHC-insured lending and portfolio monitoring. The role blends underwriting, financial analysis, and strong client engagement to support a growing commercial mortgage book.

You will evaluate borrowers, guarantors, and properties, prepare renewal recommendations, and negotiate terms while coordinating with brokers and internal teams to ensure timely renewal execution and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial banking, lending, or underwriting.
• Experience in commercial real estate and CMHC knowledge is an asset.
• Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment abilities.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end renewal process for commercial mortgage loans.
• Negotiate renewal pricing, terms, and conditions with borrowers and brokers.
• Coordinate with Treasury and internal stakeholders on rate lock and execution.
• Prepare detailed loan summaries and renewal credit packages with DSCR analyses.
• Assess ongoing credit quality of properties, borrowers, and guarantors.
• Review financial statements, rent rolls, and operating statements for renewals.
