AtkinsRéalisis hiring a Commercial Manager to join our growing team in Toronto, Ontario. The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial and contractual aspects of various projects and programs within the organization. This includes managing contracts, ensuring compliance, handling procurement processes, and providing expert support to Program Leads.

Your role within the team:

  • Provide oversight and subject matter expertise with respect to all commercial and contractual matters of various projects and programs.
  • Provide support to the Program Leads in the execution of the contract including change control, performance management, and payment.
  • Provide effective and timely management of procurements, contractors, consultants, constructors, and supply chain contracts.
  • Implements and maintains accurate and timely management reporting from a commercial perspective and integrates with other aspects of program reporting.
  • Manages effective communication of contract outputs, compliance conditions, and change management to key stakeholders, delivery team, and shared services leads.
  • Interfaces with internal stakeholders as required, including technical, risk assessment, legal, cost estimating, insurance, bond, taxation, treasury and finance functions.
  • Assists the project teams in the understanding and interpretation of the contract language.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in commercial management roles within major infrastructure programs, including pre- and post-contract phases.
  • University degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Formal training in contract law or contract administration is an asset.
  • Expertise in contract negotiations, managing contract changes, and handling procurement and dispute resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, quantity surveying, contracts, and program controls disciplines, with the ability to analyze performance metrics.
  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating large groups of stakeholders, including workshop facilitation.
  • Understanding of client and client organizations, objectives, personnel, and environments.
