The role offers a stable, family-owned environment with ownership involved daily, opportunities for growth, a salary range of 55,000 to 75,000 CAD, and benefits including medical and dental
Are you a detail-obsessed relationship builder who takes real pride in getting a lease right the first time? Do you want to play a key role with a commercial team where you will work directly alongside ownership and see the direct impact of your work on a growing portfolio?
Our client, a highly respected, family-owned commercial real estate company with over 65 years of history in development, construction, leasing, and property management, is seeking a Leasing Coordinator to help run the leasing side of a growing retail, industrial, and office portfolio of roughly 400,000 sf. This is a lean, entrepreneurial office where ownership is closely involved day-to-day, and where the scope of the role will be shaped around the right candidate's experience.
You will coordinate the full leasing cycle - preparing Offers to Lease, leases, amendments, LOIs and proposals, tracking activity and correspondence, coordinating negotiations, renewals and terminations, and showing available space. You will manage tenant relationships and assist with fit-ups, coordinate trades and site inspections, and support service agreements, maintenance scheduling, and collections follow-up. You will also maintain listings online, prepare marketing materials, liaise with architects and designers on space planning, and take on the market research, reporting, and administrative work -including some A/P and A/R support - that keeps a small office running.
The level of the role will be tailored to the successful candidate's experience, with significant opportunity for growth as the portfolio continues to expand.
The successful candidate will have at least two years of commercial leasing, property management, or brokerage experience, with proven comfort reading and interpreting lease language - accuracy matters enormously here. An undergraduate or college background, ideally paired with a relevant designation, is preferred, along with working knowledge of Excel; prior exposure to Yardi and familiarity with the Ottawa commercial market are assets.
The person who will thrive here genuinely values relationships and tenant retention over a hard-sell approach - someone with steady judgment, a bit of hustle, and the willingness to pitch in wherever the team needs help, even outside the job description. This is a close-knit, family-run office that works hard and enjoys itself -heads-down and precise on the accounting side, engaged and out talking to tenants on the leasing side -and where ownership is genuinely part of the day to day.
This is an excellent opportunity for stability and development, with a professional environment and growing portfolio. Our client offers a great compensation package with a salary range of $55,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience, with a discretionary bonus tied to individual and company performance. The role includes free parking, medical and dental benefits, and three weeks of vacation to start. Work is to be completed in-office (no remote work) in beautiful suburban offices south-west of downtown core, with an early 2:30 p.m. finish on Fridays through the summer months. Please note that candidates may be asked to complete a job-related task as an assessment tool for the hiring company.
